Twickenham Stadium & Rugby Museum
Twickenham Stadium is the home of English rugby, and scene of many memorable sporting moments since opening in 1908. It is the home stadium of the English Rugby Union side. Meanwhile, the accompanying Rugby Museum offers a very informative experience for anybody interested in rugby and sport in general.

Kew Gardens
Kew Gardens is often referred to as the Royal Botanic Gardens.
It consists of a beautiful three hundred acres containing collections of over 40,000 varieties of plants. There are also seven glasshouses and two art galleries, providing an afternoon's activities that are both pleasant and educational.

Hampton Court Palace
Hampton Court Palace is said to be the greatest palace in Britain. For almost 200 years, the palace was at the centre of court life, politics and natural history, and in 1838 Queen Victoria opened Hampton Court to the public for the first time. There are now a range of attractions, exhibitions and tours to visit at the palace.

Richmond Theatre
The nearby Richmond Theatre is one of the most beautiful of all the Frank Matcham theatres. It was built in 1899 as the Theatre Royal and Opera House and was refurbished in the early 1990s. There are tours of the historic building, and also performances of a variety of plays, ballet products and more all year round.

Ham House
Ham House is one of the most outstanding Stuart houses, built in 1610 and extended in the 1670s. It was home to the Duchess of Launderdale, instrumental in the Civil War. There are beautiful gardens to explore and amazing architecture to admire. It is also even said that the Duchess still haunts the house today.

Syon Park
Syon Park is home to The Duke of Northumberland, who describes the building as "a wonderful home, full of beauty and magnificence, of great paintings and furniture, with perhaps the finest Robert Adam interior in the country". There are a number of regular events and exhibitions to visit.

Kew Bridge Steam Museum
The Kew Bridge Steam Museum is housed in a magnificent 19th Century Pumping Station and centres around the station's five world famous Cornish Beam Engines, two of which can be seen, in steam, every weekend. The museum is both educational and informative, and has a cafe and free car parking.

National Archives
The National Archives of England, Wales and the United Kingdom, located in Kew, West London, has one of the largest archival collections in the world, spanning 1000 years of British history, from William the Conqueror's Domesday Book of 1086 to government papers recently released to the public.

The Wetlands Centre
The award winning London Wetland Centre is the first project of its kind in the world - more than 40 hectares of created wetlands in the heart of a capital city. Opened in May 2000, the London Wetland Centre offers hundreds of thousands of visitors the chance to see rare and beautiful wetland wildlife.

Amenities
Twickenham has a large number of restaurants, bars, local shops, supermarkets and banks, many of which are only a short walk away from our location.
Transport: Twickenham Mainline Station (150 metres away) runs a 20 minute service to Waterloo for Central London. There is also easy access to Heathrow. Our bed and breakfast is also close to several bus routes to Richmond, Kingston, Hampton Court and Syon Park.
